Artstories UK--Fulbright Visiting Scholar

From January through June 2019, I will conduct Artstories research with minority communities in Edinburgh, Scotland and graduate students as part of a Fulbright Visiting Professorship through the University of Edinburgh's Moray House School of Education and the Centre for Education for Racial Equality in Scotland (CERES). Working with a selection of 'master (colonially-derived) hardback narrative texts, participants will use the existing text as a foundation to insert their stories, through erasing, layering, and collaging over stories that exclude them. I have a very lovely office on the Central Area Campus (see below) at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities where I have weekly luncheon meetings and talks with other Fulbright scholars. I also have shared space in the CERES office on the Holyrood Campus.
